Michael McGruther Director/Writer/Editor/Executive Producer McGruther began his filmmaking career with the original screenplay TIGERLAND, directed by Joel Schumacher and co-written with Ross Klavan. The movie was Colin Farrell's breakthrough film and the screenplay was nominated by IFP/West for Best First Screenplay in 2001. McGruther established Buffalonickel Films in 2001. Under this banner, he teamed with Jersey Films and Universal Studios on two features: his original sci-fi adventure titled LIGHTSPEED with Bryan Singer attached to direct, and SENTENCED TO NATURE, based on a NY Times article by Charles Siebert. A lifetime science-fiction enthusiast, McGruther is passionate about reinvigorating public enthusiasm for human space exploration. Buffalonickel secured the rights to develop Arthur C. Clarke's prophetic novel PRELUDE TO SPACE to achieve this goal. BLOOD SON, based on the 1951 short story by legendary sci-fi and horror writer Richard Matheson, is McGruther's directorial debut. |

Tom Macdonald Producer For Tom Macdonald, making films was a dream of youth that became a reality when he joined the crew of "Forrest Gump" in 1993. As a crucial member of the on-set staff of that film and over 20 others, including "Spider-man," "Saving Private Ryan," and recently, "War of the Worlds," Tom learned the ins and outs of filmmaking, first hand. Teaming up with Buffalonickel Films in early 2005, Macdonald lent his organizational skills to the film as producer, both creatively and mechanically. |
